The property is situated within a few yards of Lincoln Cathedral and forms part of a substantial house originally in the ownership of the Dean and Chapter of Lincoln Cathedral.

Records of the property date from the 14th century, the formal Georgian front of the house was built in 1787 by John Bromhead.

The house fronts Greestone Place, which runs into Greestone Stairs, connecting Lindum Hill and the lower part of Lincoln with the uphill area. Greestone Place is a quiet cul-de-sac and virtually free of traffic, apart from the local residents. The property is close to the Cathedral and within very easy walking distance of the Castle, Bailgate shopping area, the city's leading hotels, restaurants and inns. Also within walking distance is the Lincolnshire Life Museum on Burton Road, the Usher Art Gallery and the Theatre Royal.

  • A £100.00 deposit per week secures your reservation which must be confirmed in writing (or fax 01522 535600 / email: eliz.slingsby@slingsbysltd.com). This is converted to a breakages deposit which will be returned in full at the end of your stay providing the premises are handed over in a clean and tidy condition with no damage.
  • Cheques should be made payable to Thos. Mawer & Son.
  • Cancellation - your deposit will be refunded less £25.00 pounds administration charge should you cancel your reservation at least 28 days prior to commencement PROVIDING WE CAN RE-LET THE ACCOMODATION FOR THE PERIOD BOOKED. If the reservation is cancelled within 28 days of the commencement, full rent will be charged.
  • You are invited to inspect the accomodation entirely without obligation before confirming your reservation, if this is practical.

    GENERAL INFORMATION

    • Laundry; there is no washing machine provided but laundry services are available from Jacksons Laundry & Dry Cleaners, 10 Newport, Lincoln (a few minutes walk). There is also a laundrette within walking distance.
       
    • Cleaning; guests are requested to leave the premises in a clean and tidy condition. Cleaning is not provided during your stay, but for longer lettings arrangements can be made if a cleaner is required.
       
    • Parking; there is parking space available for one car (please park to the left of the front door)
       
    • Pets; we regret we are unable to accommodate pets.
       
    • Bed linen; can be supplied for a small extra charge if required.
       
    • Short taxi ride from Lincoln Central Railway Station.
       
    • Close proximity to two major supermarkets, local shops, bakers, butchers etc in Bailgate - easy walking distance.
       
    • The rent quoted includes all service charges (gas, electricity etc.).
       
    • Lettings are from Saturday 4pm (arrival) to Saturday 10am (departure).
       
    • A minimum of two nights stay is possible subject to availability.
